Catering Traders Meet ADM Food and Civil Supplies Over Gas Supply Concerns

Lucknow: A delegation of catering traders met Additional District Magistrate (Food and Civil Supplies) Jyoti Gautam to raise concerns regarding the availability of commercial gas cylinders ahead of the upcoming wedding season.

The delegation, representing the Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Tent, Catering and Decoration Trade Association, met under the leadership of Sanjay Gupta, State President of the Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal. Traders highlighted that with the wedding season set to begin from April 15, the shortage of commercial gas cylinders could pose a serious challenge for the catering industry.

Sanjay Gupta emphasized that uninterrupted supply of commercial gas cylinders is essential not only for smooth business operations but also for maintaining the dignity and smooth conduct of social functions such as weddings.

Responding to the concerns, ADM Jyoti Gautam assured the delegation that necessary arrangements would be made to avoid any disruption during the wedding season. She advised that caterers or families hosting wedding functions can submit requests along with wedding cards and booking documents to the District Supply Office or her office.

She further stated that based on the submitted demand, instructions would be issued to the concerned gas agencies to ensure timely supply of commercial cylinders. The ADM assured that no inconvenience would be allowed to affect wedding events.

The delegation included Chairman Raghavendra Chaudhary, President Santosh Gupta, Vice President Mohammad Rizwan (Lucknow), Ayush Pandey, and Sanjeev Singh, among other members of the association.
